MetTek Services Inc., formerly Ontario Windsmith Inc., has installed hundreds of met towers and solar monitoring stations during its existence. Today MetTek provides services to any kind of meteorological tower, SoDAR/LiDAR device or solar monitoring station.

Our services include, but are not limited to:

• Installation, maintenance and removal of tubular and lattice met towers in partial or as complete turnkey service
• Installation, maintenance and removal of solar monitoring systems
• Deployment and maintenance for any SoDAR and LiDAR device (trained and certified by Second Wind/Vaisala as Tier 3 Service Technician on Triton SoDAR).
• Programming of any data logger system, but specialized with Campbell Scientific, NRG Systems and Ammonit
• Familiar with all measuring instruments known to the wind and solar industry
• Manufacturing of custom mounting solutions and bat monitoring lifts
• Experienced in troubleshooting on existing systems

Quality control is one of the most important features in our work. This goes along with up-to-date communication between all participating parties. All performed work is well documented and all major components are listed in a data base to keep track of its history.

A specific tower inspection will look at Structure, Electrical, Instrumentation and Environmental aspects of the installation and will list any deficiencies found in a detailed report.

MetTek is based in Ontario but provides its services in most Canadian provinces.

MetTek carries all required insurances.

MetTek is registered with ISNetworld, Avetta and WSIB.

All MetTek personnel is trained and certified in WHMIS and First Aid. Everyone involved in tower climbing activities is trained and certified in Working at Heights, Fall Protection and High Angle Rescue.
